architectesassoc took a much needed breather end 2017 in the Big Apple.
In no particular order: street art or Whitney veneer, bagels, buildings and the Bronx, Vinoly's superbe high-rise and Bloomberg's controversial High Line, Big's self-centered pyramid ("et moi, et moi, et moi") and Sanaa's generous white boxes, Soho breakfasts followed by Central Park picnics, multi-functional city blocks that function fine, star-architecture that doesn't even try (again, "et moi, et moi, et moi), endless food joints making city-life a joy, and as many homeless souls questioning that joy, booming real estate and unaffordable housing, Hilary's forlorn Javit's and Donald's me-plated tower (one last "et ...").
